Quick update: the British Kebab Awards are here once again. Every year, the great and the good of the grilled meat industry meet in a hotel in London to hand out awards for the best in the business, and you, dear reader, have your chance to say who wins. It’s democracy, yeah?

Now, it would be remiss of me to say exactly who one should nominate; I nominated Istanbul for the Best Kebab Shop in Scotland because, well, it is, but one man’s best kebab shop is another’s “what the hell are you on about???”, so whatever.
